Dr Paul is a board certified Pediatrician, and Buprenorphine certified physician, with years of involvement with addictions and recovery medicine. He has a special interest in helping those who have become dependent or addicted to narcotics become drug free and live a life of recovery. He is happily married, has nine children (6 adopted) and enjoys his medical practice, family, and outdoor activities. |

Maiya Thomas has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 yrs. She has spent her early career working as a Trauma nurse. Maiya became interested in the field of addiction for deeply personal reasons and it has become her passion. She has been a detoxification nurse at Hooper Detox (Central City Concern) , Hazelden Springbrook, and Beyond Addictions prior to working at Fair Start . Maiya is happily married, and keeps busy with nine children, six who are adopted. She loves gardening, reading, traveling with her husband, and attending all the activities that comes with raising a large family.

Catherine is originally from the East coast. She attended college in Missouri, where she received her BA degree in education. After graduating from college, she taught school and worked as an office manager for several businesses. After moving to Oregon, she began her education in chemical dependency counseling and has been working in the field of addiction for over 10 years. Catherine has worked in residential and outpatient treatment settings with both male and female clients. She enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, gardening, sporting events, and music.

Tare is a nurse’s assistant at both Integrative Pediatrics and Fair Start, and also an in-home caregiver. He is currently waiting to get accepted into a nursing school this year. Tare plans on getting his Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree, and become a traveling nurse, feeling that the world will do a tiny bit better with his help and knowledge. But he keeps in mind that to change the world, it starts within one's self. Tare enjoys everything life has to offer. The key to happiness is as simple as a smile. And being in the medical field, Tare believes that to fully heal from any sickness or negatives in life is simply looking at the brighter, positive side of anything and everything you do. "I love what I do because I make YOU feel a lot better."
